  1. Grease the bottom of the tray with tahini.

  2. Mix the flour, semolina, sugar, milk, anise, butter, turmeric, baking powder, and vanilla to get a medium-soft batter.

  3. Extend the batter into the tray and smooth its surface with wet fingers or a spoon.

  4. The surface of the tray is decorated with almonds or pine nuts.

  5. Bake the tray for about 30 minutes in a preheated oven to 180°C, until the surface of the pans becomes dry.

  6. Leave the tray aside until it cools down and serve the plates with tea or coffee.
