The method of making anise biscuits includes the following:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C in advance.

  2. Mix the butter and sugar together until you get a creamy consistency.

  3. Add the eggs, milk, anise extract, and vanilla, and continue mixing until you get a light and fluffy mixture.

  4. In a separate bowl, add three cups of flour and baking powder until completely combined, then add to the liquid ingredients.

  5. Keep mixing until you get a homogeneous texture, adding more flour until you have a dough with minimal stickiness.

  6. Roll the dough into a circular shape before placing it on the baking tray and bake for ten to twenty minutes or until the edges are browned.

Covering method

  1. After the cookies have cooled completely, mix 2 cups of powdered sugar with 3 tablespoons of water and ¼ tablespoon of anise extract. Dip the cookies in this mixture, then decorate with colored sugar.
